This agave grows wild in the mountains and rolling hills of the state of Guerrero. Its flavor is singular, shaded with herbal notes and a touch of sweet. It was distilled by maestro Jairo Apaez, of San Miguel de las Palmas, Guerrero.

Cupreata is not planted in rows: it grows where the mountain lets it. It is gathered on the slopes and rolling hills that surround maestro Jairo Apaez's town.
