A cross of two native species
This agave is the cross of two species native and endemic to the Sierra Norte of Guerrero: angustifolia and rhodacantha. Over many years they crossed and produced a remarkable hybrid. We produced it in Telixtac. This is a singular spirit, its flavor magnified by the hands of Don Roque working the método filipino in a tronco hueco, a hollowed trunk. It is one of the most ancestral distillation methods in the world.

San Martín Pachivia
This is where the lot is distilled. San Martín Pachivia is known for its "embrujos" and "curaciones": the traditional, ancestral medicine of its people, for which mezcal and agave spirits are among the famous cures. We hope this drink eases, if only a little, any ailment of the soul.

Don Roque
Don Roque distills in a tronco hueco, with the método filipino: a still made of a hollowed trunk that came to Mexico with the Manila galleons in the sixteenth century, and one of the oldest distillation methods still in use in the world.
